Oklahoma Trip

Taylor enjoys a special moment with Brad as he reads stories about Christopher Churchmouse.

A highlight for all the children was the horse and wagon ride at the Millers' house.

Elizabeth and Hudson loved playing outdoors at the Unrah's house.

The Millers' pony was quite energetic but Carson guided it with a firm hand.

Hello Friends! We returned yesterday from a 4 day trip to Kansas City and Oklahoma. On Friday evening we had a service at the Kansas City Rescue Mission. It was a blessing to be able to share God's love with men who seem to have very little hope. Our service on Sunday evening was at Zion Mennonite Church in Pryor, Oklahoma. It is always a privilege to worship with other believers and to encourage each other. On Monday evening we had the unique opportunity to give a short program at a large gathering of Marlin's relatives, mostly Amish. Our prayer is that God will use our songs and testimony to change lives, many which are in bondage to church rules and family differences.

In between services we enjoyed visiting and renewing aquaintances with relatives. There were plenty of opportunities for the children to enjoy the warm, sunny weather.

This weekend we had the opportunity to share at Teen Challenge in Colfax, IA and at East Fairview Church in Milford, NE. Today we are spending precious time with our friends, the Wisssmans, in Seward, NE. Thanks, Bethany, for taking this picture of Carson, Joshua, Denver and Taylor singing "Children Are A Gift".

Finally, a new post!

After nearly 2 weeks of nearly 2 weeks of normal, everyday, busy life plus a weekend trip to WI, I am sitting down to write my first post! I can see that I will have to make blogging a part of my routine in order to get posts written on a regular basis.
Our weekend in WI was so refreshing. On Saturday afternoon we drove about 2 1/2 hours to Lancaster, WI where we enjoyed the fellowship of the Arevelo family. We went to church with them on Sunday morning and then after a potluck dinner with their church family we spent the afternoon with Arevelo family and some friend of theirs. How sweet it is to encourage each other to continue to follow God's leading in our lives. Sunday evening we had the opportunity to sing at Calvary Community Chruch were Mr. Arevelo is the pastor. We arrived home about 11:30 that night...........physically tired but spiritually refreshed.
